Beta Tester Script

If we invited you to test CO3 and you are not sure where to begin, start here. Follow the steps in order, report anything confusing, and do not worry about testing every feature perfectly. A confused first impression is useful feedback too.

Before You Begin

First Pass

  1. Create an account from beta and confirm the email.
  2. Wait for the account to be approved. Until then, some app actions stay locked.
  3. After approval, log in on beta and use Open App.
  4. Open Connection Settings in the app. Use integrated model access if it is available, or add a BYO model key if needed.
  5. Create or copy one simple Version 2.0 user persona. This is who you write as.
  6. Create or copy one simple Version 2.0 character persona. This is who the AI writes as.
  7. Try the template selector on one persona and confirm Version 1.0 and Version 2.0 are understandable.
  8. Try Draft Guidance, Generate Editable Draft, or Auto-Complete on one card if you have time.
  9. Start a chat with that character and user persona.
  10. If the character already has a saved chat, check whether Continue Latest Chat and starting a separate new chat make sense.
  11. Confirm the Writing As selector shows the user persona you intended for that chat.
  12. Send a normal message, regenerate once, mark one good response, and flag one issue with details.
  13. Try an out-of-character note such as ((keep this in limited third person POV.))
  14. Send an empty message and check whether the character continues the scene instead of repeating itself.
  15. If you see a time-passing prompt after a break, choose whether to continue exactly or allow time-lapse effects.
  16. Log out, log back in, and confirm your personas, chats, and connection settings still belong to your account.

If You Only Have 10 Minutes

  1. Create and confirm an account.
  2. After approval, open the app and check whether the page makes sense.
  3. Create or copy one simple Version 2.0 user persona and one simple Version 2.0 character persona.
  4. Start one chat, send two or three messages, and flag anything that feels wrong.
  5. Send one feedback note about what confused you most.

Archive Pass

  1. Create or edit a character persona and mark it public only if it is safe to show in the archive.
  2. Create or edit a user persona and mark it public only if it is a reusable writing profile, not a private biography.
  3. Open Browse > Character Personas and confirm public character personas appear there.
  4. Open Browse > User Personas and confirm public user personas appear there.
  5. Try Include and Exclude filters for fandoms and tags, including selecting more than one filter in a section.
  6. Try the Fandoms, Tags, and People directory pages and check whether sorting and alphabet filters feel clear.
  7. Like and unlike a public character persona and confirm the count changes.
  8. Like and unlike a public user persona and confirm liked filters or popularity sorting behave as expected.
  9. Add a public user persona to your own library and confirm the copied version becomes private.

Privacy Pass

  1. Sign out, reload, and confirm private account data is no longer visible.
  2. Sign into a second account and confirm it cannot see the first account's private personas or chats.
  3. Confirm public archive items are visible without exposing private notes, private chats, API keys, or account-only data.
  4. Report confusing login state, missing private records, or anything that appears in a place you did not expect.
