What Donations Support

• Hosting, domains, infrastructure, and deployment costs.
• Integrated OpenAI, Gemini, or DeepSeek via Fireworks model access for approved testers when CO3-managed access is available.
• Development, maintenance, bug fixing, and beta operations.
• Moderation, support tooling, documentation, and accessibility improvements.
• General platform work needed to keep CO3 available and usable.

Integrated API Support

Some approved beta testers may be granted CO3-managed model access instead of bringing their own OpenAI, Gemini, Fireworks, DeepSeek, or other provider key. Donations help make that option sustainable, especially for testers who are not technical or should not have to manage API setup just to help test the platform.

Integrated access can be limited, paused, or revoked if costs need to be controlled, changed, or limited by provider availability. If integrated access is paused, BYO API setup may remain available for testers who prefer to use their own provider account.

What Donations Do Not Buy

• Donations are voluntary and are not required to create a beta account.
• Donations do not buy ownership of any character, fandom, story, persona, chat, or user-created content.
• Donations do not buy access to copyrighted fanworks, commissions, exclusive fandom content, or official source material.
• Donations do not create a license from any rights holder.
• Donations do not guarantee beta access, integrated API access, a specific model provider, moderation outcomes, support priority, or permanent feature availability unless a separate written policy says so.

Fanwork Boundary

CO3 donations support the platform, not the sale of fanfiction or fandom-based content. Users may not use CO3 to sell, commission, paywall, or monetize fanworks based on copyrighted material they do not own.

Surplus Funds

Unless CO3 later adopts a different public structure, donations are voluntary support for the work required to keep the platform running. Surplus funds may be used for ongoing CO3 operations, future development, reserves, tools, services, or other reasonable platform-related needs.

Transparency During Beta

Donation information stays plain: support keeps the beta running, but it does not turn fandom content into a product for sale. Support may also help cover shared model access for approved testers, but that access is a platform testing resource, not a purchase of fan content. If CO3 changes its funding model, this page will be updated before the change is promoted.
